Week Four

Feb. 25th. Just like the previous post I did not blog immidiatly after my day so the thoughts are a bit fuzzy. Philmore had lent me a book called Gastalt and the Wisdom of the Kahunas, which I found to be very interesting. I mentioned the part about breathing and the voice and how they are often used to express ones self even unconsciously. From there our discussion began. The college level and beyond was a almost a bit to much for my mind to handle so we had to go over a few things a few times. As stated before I found the voice and breath part of the book to be very interesting, so Philmore had me try some breathing which I found very relaxing. After that, I tried some meditation techniques, most notable the rainbow mind exercise. The way it works is that one imagines a rainbow, which doesn't have to be perfect, going down into the middle of ones head. The participant than focuses on the rainbow and whenever a new thought arises the participant acknowledges the thought and then brings their focus back to the rainbow. Once again a good end to a good day.
